Sara Oschlag is a young Danish singer making waves at home in Copenhagen, and here in England. Her regular quartet consists of herself plus sax, double bass and guitar. The songs are from the Great American Songbook, including standards and show tunes, plus plenty of Bossa Nova selections.
Sara is ably accompanied by Robin Watt on saxes, Jason Henson on guitar and Dan Sheppard on double bass. The quartet was engaged by Swan Hellenic to perform on their flagship Minerva II on multiple occasions. The music can be in the background, an ideal backdrop for dinner, for example. After dinner they can up the tempo and the volume for a little dancing, or simply stay in the background so people can chat.
The band comes with their own high quality sound system which is ideal for intimate settings, or can be incorporated into a bigger system for larger, stage-based situations. The band and equipment fits into one car, which keeps costs down, and is a little greener than 3 cars showing up and hogging all the parking spaces. The whole system can be unpacked and set up in less than 10 minutes.
